The Sleep Typer

Isn’t it amazing that I can type in my sleep? Right now I am sleeping on the floor, yet I am writing this blog post; I bring a whole new level to multi-tasking! Anyhow, Since my birthday I have been able to do a few more fun things with Mom and Dad. Yesterday Mom took me to the zoo, and we met my friend Camiela there with her mom too. We spent four hours walking and eating, and even taking a nap. I got to bring home a Cotton Top Tamarin, but don’t worry it’s not one of the ones that’s alive. I also got to visit some family and friends this past week too. We visited my Uncle Brad and Auntie Karin; I got to try out my cousin’s stroller before he/she is even born!  Mom and I also visited my Great-Grandpa up in Edmonton too.  It sure was a looong bus ride to get to his place, but Mom says I was pretty good.  I wanted to visit more family while we were in Edmonton, but we had to go home earlier than we had planned. Oh, how could I forget! I got to meet my friend Keaton for the first time! He just turned one recently, just like me. Up until now we had only been pen pals. But, I better go, because I am awake now, and it is harder to type when I am awake than when I am asleep. I still have much more to tell you, but perhaps another time!

Oh, and one more thing, Mom posted a few pictures from my birthday, but not too many since most of them are on CD now, and not on the computer. At least she is posting pictures though!

A Letter From Julia

Dear People Who Read My Blog,

Julia here, well, my mom is typing, as I dictate to her, since I do not know how to type yet, but it is me! I have been very busy lately, with lots of fun things happening in my life. This weekend I got to go to my friend Graeme’s third birthday party. There were lots of kids, and I really had fun getting to play with some new friends.  Graeme’s daddy cooked us chicken, and it was good! I gave Graeme a hat with Thomas the Tank on it, and he really seemed to like it. Then, after the party we visited my Grandma Kathy and uncle Ryan. Grandma had some new toys for her house for me to play with, and uncle played with me lots!

But, that is not all… Last week I got to go away with Dad and Mom for a few days. We stayed in a big hotel, and everyone told me how cute I was! Mom took me to this “market” that had lots of fresh food, and I got to the library and see some new friends there too!  I finally got to see Auntie Karin and Uncle Brad this past week too. I hadn’t seen them since February! But, one thing I don’t understand is where was my cousin?? My mom said that Auntie and Uncle were giving me a cousin, but I didn’t see one… We also visited Great-Grandma Gertie, which was lots of fun. Daddy took us all to Swiss Chalet and I ate lots and lots of chicken and broccoli! The best part of the trip though was when Daddy bought me a new doll! She is purple and is a ballerina… I smile everytime I look at her.  But, the fun must come to an end sometime, and I got loaded back into the car seat for another long drive home. I did not get to visit everyone I wanted to in Edmonton, but mom says next time we will see some different people. On the way home we stopped at Grandpa and Grandmas for lunch, and I got to take a break from the car seat.  Grandpa and Grandma gave me a new outfit and some socks,  but I don’t quite understand the whole socks thing. Mom keeps  telling me I have two feet, but Grandma gave me three socks! I think someone’s mixed something up somewhere.

This week I get to do some fun stuff too. Today we played outside and went for a walk. It was sure nice to be outside and not be all bundled up! Then, tomorrow we are going to the zoo, and on Wednesday Tristan and Ethan are coming over! I sure am a lucky girl to have so much fun stuff to do. Daddy is working in lots of different places this week, so I miss him already, but he will be home soon and then we can play play play! I am going to try to be really good for mom so that she doesn’t say that I am “driving her crazy.” I don’t want a crazy mom!

But, it is time for some playing and then I have to put on my PJ’s, so I better go.  I hope everyone has a great week and comes to visit me soon!

Love,

Julia

Julia’s First Day of School
Posted on September 22nd, 2006 at 9:17 am by Derek/Shannon|no comments yet

Well, sort of. Julia and I went to visit the students and staff at my work yesterday. As per usual she put on her best show for all of the new people; lots of smiles and talking during our visit. Everyone seemed to enjoy meeting her and I enjoyed getting to see my students and colleauges again. We will be back again for another visit sometime between now and Halloween.

On another note, I have uploaded quite a few pictures over the past week; feel free to check them out if you have not already!
