Superbaby???

Well…she’s a handful…and only at 10 days old.
Julia loves being on her tummy, wriggling along, lifting her head up for a few seconds and is even able to roll onto her side unassisted. Could this be the beginnings of a superbaby? All the literature we’ve read say that these physical milestones should be achieved between the second and third months. So…we’re expecting she’ll be walking in a couple of weeks
We’re going to be taking her to the scale for her weigh-in tomorrow. Once she reaches her birth weight again we won’t have to be waking her up every 2-3 hours to eat. She’ll be waking us up. A week ago she weighed 3615 grams (7lbs 15.5oz) and her lowest weight was when she was 2 days old at 3487 grams (7lbs 11oz). Only just over 200 grams to go, as her birth weight was 3856 grams (8lbs 8oz).
On another note, her cord fell off on Monday (14th) and Grandma Kathy was the lucky one to find it on the floor!
Welcome Julia Paige

Well…it’s happened…
At 1:02 AM on August 07, 2006 Julia Paige was born! 8 lbs 8 oz & 21 inches long. She’s doing well in the hospital and comes home tomorrow. Check out some new pictures in her gallery.
Her First A+

We went for the ultrasound today…sorry, no pictures to put up…the clinic we went to today seems to be stuck in the past with their 2d ultrasound machines. Pffft.
We didn’t realize our daughter would be bringing home test scores this early in life. 8 out of 8 on her biophysical profile and a second guess at her being a her. This is a good thing, considering all the girlie stuff we have - plus I went ahead and painted the nursery lavender.
Stubborn Already…

Well…we’re on the brink of being one week overdue…hope this doesn’t mean that we’ll have a stubborn kid.
Tomorrow we go for our 41 week ultrasound. Maybe she’ll be more cooperative this time for the photographer. At our 18 and half week ultrasound she was always turning away so we couldn’t see her. We did manage to get a couple good pictures of her though, one of which I’ve put in her picture gallery. It’s a fairly decent 3d picture, showing her head and hands.
One popular suggestion to get her born is to take Shannon for a car ride on a bumpy country road. I didn’t think so many people would suggest the same thing - even my Grandma did…
