It has been a very eventful time our Julia’s life this past month. Some very fun things have happened…
1. She now has a trike, which she calls her bike, and wears a “bike hat” every time she takes it out for a ride. She loves riding her bike, and would probably choose to spend most of the day out on it if that were possible.
2. She is becoming very good at using both please and thank-you in a variety of contexts. She will even sometimes bow and say “thank-you, thank-you, thank-you” after performing a little dance. I wonder if she does shows at the sitter???
3. We visited the water park at WEM over spring break and she LOVED IT! 4. Grandma Kathy came to stay while Daddy was in Boston, and much fun was had!
Some not so fun things have happened too, namely one not so fun flu-like illness which lead to her being dehydrated and a trip to the health center to get her fluids replenished via a “fluid challenge” (not an IV). It is basically giving tiny amounts of clear fluids high in electrolytes every 15 minutes for several hours until your child is hydrated again. The key is to not even attempt to give any solids, even if there are cries of “eat eat!” from the sick little one. Our girl finally is back on solids today and is quite happy to cosume something other than juice, liquid jello, or pediasure.
